Hello peepdeedoos! Today's post will be on how to do the perfect messy bun! (In case you didnt see the OBVIOUS title above)
Messy buns are the current hype and most people are frustrated that they can never get the perfect messy bun evahh. And hence, I have decided to take matters to hand and solve this problem for y'all!
The best part of my version of messy bun is that ANYONE can do it regardless whether you are a female, male, someone who wears tudung(hijab), or even if you don't have hair at all!
Ready,guys? Leggo
First off, you'll need ;
- 1/2 kg of Flour
- 1/2 pack of Mauripan Yeast
- 1 tablespoon of Shortening
- 1 cup of cold water
- Salt.
- 3 tablespoons of powdered milk
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
Lets start our bun makin activities!
1. Mix together the flour, salt, yeast, powdered milk and sugar into a bowl.
2. Pour in the cold water little by little into the mix..
3. Mix them until they become dough-y (use your hands).
4. Put in the shortening and mix some more!
5.Leave the dough and have a dance party for 30 minutes to wait for the dough to double in size.

6.Put em in the oven and then we have the bun guys!

THAT IS NOT A MESSY BUN. THAT IS A REGULAR BUN. YOU LIAR DHEEPHIKHA
Okay okayyyy. To make it messy, just add some colourful frosting! Here's your messy bun.

AND also, if you are adventurous like me, you can take it up a notch and make it messier! Great example below.

Try it and let me know whether your buns were okay. Oh, about that messy bun that involves hair, I'm an indian and thus, my hair is messy all day errrday. I don't need to make it look any messier. For those people with perfect straight hair, I suggest you make a normal bun and go to sleep, when you wake up I promise you'll have a messy bun.
